Let the presence of God be more than a fleeting moment—
Let it be your atmosphere.
Not just a place you visit,
But the place you live.
You were never meant to drift in and out of divine awareness.
You were designed to dwell.
To walk, breathe, and move in the nearness of God
Every hour. Every day.
Make His presence your posture.
Not just in prayer, but in every breath.
Not just in worship, but in work.
Let it be your default setting, your holy rhythm.
This is not a spiritual luxury—it’s your birthright.
His presence is your mantle,
your garment of glory.
Wear it always.
Let it shape your thoughts, your tone, your choices.
Because when you live aware of Him,
You live aligned with Him.
And when you dwell in Him,
Even when there is chaos,
You carry peace, power, and purpose wherever you go.
Like Moses Who Prayed for God’s Presence
Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” Exodus 33:12-13
The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
Moses pushes further, insisting that God’s presence is what defines them:
This is the climax of the request. Moses isn’t satisfied with a general promise; he needs a guarantee for the entire nation.
Then Moses said to Him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?
What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Exodus 33:15-16
The Ultimatum: Moses says, “If you aren’t coming, we aren’t going.” He recognizes that God’s presence is the sole mark of their identity and the source of their purpose. Without it, they are just another nomadic tribe.
God reaffirms His promise because of His relationship with Moses:
And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” Exodus 33:17
The Aftermath: Moses Sees God’s Glory
Emboldened by this, Moses makes an even more audacious request:
Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” Exodus 33:18
God responds that no one can see His full glory and live, but He agrees to place Moses in the cleft of a rock, cover him with His hand, and pass by, allowing Moses to see His back as He proclaims His character.
Exodus 34:5-7 describes this moment, where God passes in front of Moses and proclaims: “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.”
